Amanda Rattes is a lawyer admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association since 2004 and to the Portuguese Bar Association since 2020.
She practised at mid-size and large full-service firms in Civil Law, Labour, Family, Contracts and Strategic Legal Advisory, advising private clients, companies and institutions.
She served in a Judge's chambers at the Court of Justice of the State of Rio de Janeiro, deepening her experience in Public Law and litigation.
For more than eight years she headed the Environmental and Maritime Law Division of the Legal Advisory of the Directorate of Ports and Coasts of the Brazilian Navy, working on Environmental Law, maritime regulation, administrative proceedings and public governance. She took part in strategic regulatory projects, collaborated with the International Maritime Organization (IMO/UN) and coordinated training programmes for agents of the Brazilian Maritime Authority, where she also served as a lecturer.
She holds a postgraduate degree in Environmental Law from PUC-Rio and a Master's in Administrative Law, specialising in Administrative Justice, from the University of Minho. She also has further training in Maritime Law, Public Management and Process Management from FGV-Rio, and in ESG from ESA/RJ.
She is a member of the examination board of the Brazilian Bar Association's National Exams in Administrative Law and sits on the Brazil–Portugal Committee of OAB/RJ.
She is currently a founding partner of GRPC Private Legal Office, where she leads projects and provides strategic advice on ESG and Sustainability, International Mobility, Public Law and International Law, supporting national and international clients on regulatory matters, residence and nationality, governance and transnational operations.
